Kayla Koyle on Instagram: "One of my favorite parts of supporting birth is *holding* her. Literally. Holding her up, supporting her weight, pressing into her back, wrapping my arms around her when she needs it most. Touch in labor isn’t just comfort, it’s connection. It’s grounding. It’s safety. It reminds her that she is not alone. That she is held, seen, and supported. Her journey is being witnessed. Somewhere along the way, we lost this. We became a culture afraid of closeness, of touch, of being fully *with* each other. But birth has never forgotten. The body still craves what it has always needed… loving, intentional, steady hands. #utahcountydoula #utahdoula #juabcountyutah #saltlakecitydoula #homebirth #birth #birthsupportutah #empoweredbirth #holisticbirth #prenatalcareutah"

Kayla Koyle on Instagram: "I heard it put this way once. When a husband researches the safest car for his family—looking at crash test ratings, reliability, and safety features—his wife rarely questions his judgment. She trusts that he’s making the best choice to protect them. So why is it different when a woman does the same for birth? When she looks at the research, weighs the risks, and chooses home birth because she believes it’s the safest, most supportive option for her and her baby—shouldn’t she receive the same trust? Statistically, you’re more likely to die in a car crash than in a home birth. Yet no one questions the choice to drive. Maybe the fear around home birth isn’t about safety—it’s about conditioning. A woman deserves the same trust and respect she gives her husband when making decisions for their family. Kayla Koyle on Instagram: "My thoughts lately keep bringing me back to this point. Birth is the oldest ritual there is. It’s not just about bringing a baby into the world, it’s about the transformation of the mother. In labor, a woman steps into something bigger than herself, tapping into the strength of every mother who came before her. She faces the raw, untamed power of creation and comes out changed. There’s no way to birth and remain the same. It stretches you, breaks you open, and puts you back together as someone new. Birth isn’t just about life beginning, it’s about the mother being reborn too. #utahcountydoula #homebirth #doula #birth #birthsupportutah #birthworker #holisticbirth #doulalife #empoweredbirth #"
Kayla Koyle on Instagram: "And yet so much has been forgotten. Stripped away. Buried under fear, doubt, lack of knowledge and a system that tells women they are not enough on their own. But it’s still there, waiting. The wisdom and the power and the KNOWING. It’s time to dig deep, to listen, and to reawaken what has always been ours. #utahcountydoula #homebirth #doula #birthsupportutah #empoweredbirth #prenatalcareutah"
Kayla Koyle on Instagram: "Some of my thoughts lately… #Birth isn’t just about bringing a baby into the world—it’s a powerful initiation into motherhood. Yet, so often, we find ways to disconnect from the experience, whether through an epidural, distraction, fear, or simply shutting down emotionally. But what happens when we choose to lean in instead? Labor is more than physical—it’s deeply spiritual and emotional. It challenges us, stretches us, and sets the tone for our journey as mothers. Just as we go through this transformation, so do our babies. But while we have the ability to disconnect, they don’t. They are fully present in the experience, adapting, working, and moving through the intensity of birth with us. What if, instead of resisting or numbing, we embraced birth as a shared experience? What if we tuned into the physical sensations, the shifts in our bodies, and the instincts guiding us? What if we trusted that labor is not something to endure but a process to engage with? Choosing to stay present in birth—however that looks for you—can be the first step in learning to trust your body, your baby, and yourself as a mother. Because birth isn’t just a moment. It’s the beginning of a relationship, a bond, and a journey. How did birth shape your transition into motherhood? Did you feel connected to your body and baby, or did you find yourself wanting to escape the intensity? I’d love to hear your thoughts. #utahcountydoula #homebirth #doula #birth #birthworker #empoweredbirth #holisticbirth #birthsupportutah"
